Bruce Benson: Philosophy, Europe and Re-emerging Christianity

Bruce Ellis Benson is Professor and Chair of the Philosophy Department at Wheaton College in Illinois. He is the author of a number of books exploring the religious interests of European philosophers, including Derrida and Nietzsche. Professor Benson is the Executive Director of the Society for Continental Philosophy and Theology. Greg Clarke spoke with him in his Wheaton office about the escalating interest among continental philosophers in the Christian faith. Some of what Benson has to say in this three-part interview may come as a surprise to many.

Postmodernism and Room for Christianity
Professor Benson explains why there is more of a place for Christianity among Postmodern Philosophers

Renaissance of Christian Belief
Benson has some amazing things to say about the interest in Christianity among France's leading philosophers. For many, it might be the opposite of what you'd expect.

Christianity: Too valuable to discard
According to Benson, even among non-believing academics, there is growing acknowledgment of the positive role Christianity has played, and continues to play, in Western culture.
