I agree with you Greg. Another fantastic album from the worlds greatest band. I only hope that we get to see them in Australia again. Going to a U2 concert is like an awesome worship session. It's amazing to hear tens of thousands of people sing words like Hallelujah. Hopefully U2 will help bring people closer to the God that loves them so.

Nice work. U2 has many Christian messages/references. There are many Christian messages / concepts in popular music, I often wonder if they intentional, or just cultural. Needless to say I like how you have looked at modern music and it themes. I may need to get this album. Keep it up.

These guys are not Christians people.

You can interpret any lyrical message to illustrate your delusional beliefs.

Good stuff Greg. Hey anonymous, why don't you go ask Bono what he meant when he was talking about the Lamb as white as snow. I'm sure he'd be happy to talk with you about it.

I thought your review was fantastic, and while I had noticed several thinly veiled (and some NOT-so-thinly veiled) references to Christian beliefs, after watching your video, I completely agree with ALL of your observations.
Many U2 fans agree that Magnificent is also about "The Magnificent" -- which really could be any deity, depending on your religion, I suppose. (For Christians, it would clearly be "God.")
My favorite line from this album is at the end of Breathe where Bono says "I've found Grace inside a sound, I've found Grace and it's ALL that I've found."
Lastly, I absolutely loved how you noticed the Christian references in Get On Your Boots. Yes, Bono probably means that it's God saying "You don't know how beautiful you are!" Oddly, I did *not* notice any of those references in Boots BEFORE watching your video review, yet I caught nearly all of the others peppered throughout the album.
Thank you for the splendid review. While others may disagree with your interpretation, there are plenty of U2 fans here and elsewhere who appreciate your thoughts on this album. Thank you for sharing your insights and observations.

Great review, Greg. I love this album. Magnificent is my favourite song at the moment.
