Doubt and Grace

Acclaimed British writer Francis Spufford surprised many when he ‘outed’ himself as a Christian with his book, Unapologetic – why, despite everything, Christianity can still makes surprising emotional sense. Rejecting the New Atheists insistence on rationality and proof for everything, Spufford makes a stirring defence of Christian emotions, claiming that they make a compelling case for the way faith can function in the 21st century.

Simon Smart caught up with him at the Adelaide Festival.
